答：“耶和华”是基督教对希伯来文上帝名字的音译，原意为“自有永有”。我们所相信的这一们上帝是自有永有的（参出3:14-15），是昔在、今在、以后永在的全能者（参启1:4、8）。

1问：圣经是一部什么样的书？
答：圣经是我们基督教的经典，是上帝给人的启示，包括有关上帝爱世人，在基督里为人预备救恩的生命之道。圣经分为两大部分，即39卷旧约圣经27卷新约圣经。“约”指上帝和他的选民以色列人原来所立的约；后因以色列人背约犯罪，上帝又赐下他的独生爱子为救赎世人而受死流血，和人重新立约。故称原订的约为旧约，重订的约为新约。但新约圣经并不废掉旧约圣经，而是成全旧约圣经。
