16:15 大利拉对参孙说：“你既不与我同心，怎么说你爱我呢？你这三次欺哄我，没有告诉我，你因何有这么大的力气。”
16:15 Then she said to him, “How can you say, ‘I love you,’ when you won’t confide in me? This is the third time you have made a fool of me and haven’t told me the secret of your great strength.”
16:16 大利拉天天用话催逼他，甚至他心里烦闷要死。
16:16 With such nagging she prodded him day after day until he was tired to death.
16:17 参孙就把心中所藏的都告诉了她，对她说：“向来人没有用剃头刀剃我的头，因为我自出母胎就归 神作拿细耳人；若剃了我的头发，我的力气就离开我，我便软弱象别人一样。”
16:17 So he told her everything. “No razor has ever been used on my head,” he said, “because I have been a Nazirite set apart to God since birth. If my head were shaved, my strength would leave me, and I would become as weak as any other man.”
16:18 大利拉见他把心中所藏的都告诉了她，就打发人到非利士人的首领那里，对他们说：“他已经把心中所藏的都告诉了我，请你们再上来一次。”于是非利士人的首领手里拿着银子，上到妇人那里。
16:18 When Delilah saw that he had told her everything, she sent word to the rulers of the Philistines, “Come back once more; he has told me everything.” So the rulers of the Philistines returned with the silver in their hands.
16:19 大利拉使参孙枕着她的膝睡觉，叫了一个人来剃除他头上的七条发绺。于是大利拉克制他，他的力气就离开他了。
16:19 Having put him to sleep on her lap, she called a man to shave off the seven braids of his hair, and so began to subdue him. And his strength left him.
16:20 大利拉说：“参孙哪！非利士人拿你来了。”参孙从睡中醒来，心里说，我要象前几次出去活动身体；他却不知道耶和华已经离开他了。
16:20 Then she called, “Samson, the Philistines are upon you!” He awoke from his sleep and thought, “I’ll go out as before and shake myself free.” But he did not know that the LORD had left him.
16:21 非利士人将他拿住，剜了他的眼睛，带他下到迦萨，用铜链拘索他；他就在监里推磨。
16:21 Then the Philistines seized him, gouged out his eyes and took him down to Gaza. Binding him with bronze shackles, they set him to grinding in the prison.
16:22 然而他的头发被剃之后，又渐渐长起来了。
16:22 But the hair on his head began to grow again after it had been shaved. ( The Death of Samson )
16:23 非利士人的首领聚集，要给他们的神大衮献大祭，并且欢乐。因为他们说：“我们的神将我们的仇敌参孙交在我们手中了！”
16:23 Now the rulers of the Philistines assembled to offer a great sacrifice to Dagon their god and to celebrate, saying, “Our god has delivered Samson, our enemy, into our hands.”
16:24 众人看见参孙、就赞美他们的神，说：“我们的神将毁坏我们地、杀害我们许多人的仇敌，交在我们手中了！”
16:24 When the people saw him, they praised their god, saying, “Our god has delivered our enemy into our hands, the one who laid waste our land and multiplied our slain.”
16:25 他们正宴乐的时候，就说：“叫参孙来！在我们面前戏耍戏耍。”于是将参孙从监里提出来，他就在众人面前戏耍。他们使他站在两柱中间。
16:25 While they were in high spirits, they shouted, “Bring out Samson to entertain us.” So they called Samson out of the prison, and he performed for them. When they stood him among the pillars,
16:26 参孙向拉他手的童子说：“求你让我摸着托房的柱子，我要靠一靠。”
16:26 Samson said to the servant who held his hand, “Put me where I can feel the pillars that support the temple, so that I may lean against them.”
16:27 那时房内充满男女，非利士人的众首领也都在那里。房的平顶上约有三千男女，观看参孙戏耍。
16:27 Now the temple was crowded with men and women; all the rulers of the Philistines were there, and on the roof were about three thousand men and women watching Samson perform.
16:28 参孙求告耶和华说：“主耶和华啊！求你眷念我。 神啊！求你赐我这一次的力量，使我在非利士人身上报那剜我双眼的仇。”
16:28 Then Samson prayed to the LORD , “O Sovereign LORD , remember me. O God, please strengthen me just once more, and let me with one blow get revenge on the Philistines for my two eyes.”
16:29 参孙就抱住托房的那两根柱子：左手抱一根，右手抱一根。
16:29 Then Samson reached toward the two central pillars on which the temple stood. Bracing himself against them, his right hand on the one and his left hand on the other,
16:30 说：“我情愿与非利士人同死！”就尽力屈身，房子倒塌，压住首领和房内的众人。这样，参孙死时所杀的人，比活着所杀的还多。
16:30 Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” Then he pushed with all his might, and down came the temple on the rulers and all the people in it. Thus he killed many more when he died than while he lived.
16:31 参孙的弟兄和他父的全家，都下去取他的尸首，抬上来葬在琐拉和以实陶中间，在他父玛挪亚的坟墓里。参孙作以色列的士师二十年。
16:31 Then his brothers and his father’s whole family went down to get him. They brought him back and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of Manoah his father. He had led Israel twenty years.
